The Last Judgment

                                Chapter One:  Crimson and Clover



The first sound of the night was a harsh scream, a terrible sound of pain and fear and Danny Phantom knew precisely what caused that sound.
The blue fog that usually appeared around his breath was near constant now and he knew he must be very close to whatever ghost that had decided to terrorize the town of Amityville tonight.

He had been doing this for almost three years now and he could now no longer imagine his life without the thrill of having ghost powers, the ability to fly and go through walls, plus the added thrill of being a sort of celebrity, Amityville’s own sort of Superman.

But, of course, that would mean that he’d actually have to save someone every once in a while. The attackers screams were growing more frenzied now and he flew above the city anxiously until he spotted the creature.
It was large and had the vague appearance of a wolf, thick green fur and soulless red eyes.

“Why don’t you pick on somebody your own size?” Danny yelled, trying to get the creature’s attention away from the girl that was huddled against the wall of the school.
The wolf turned and snarled angrily at him, using a large paw to swipe at his floating figure.
“C’mon Fido,” he teased, “You can do better than that!”

The wolf turned his back on the girl and advanced towards Danny and he smiled, “Not too bright are you Fido?” It snarled angrily at him and leaped at him and thankfully he was able to phase through the creature. Quickly he pulled out the Fenton thermos and uncapped the top causing the wolf to be sucked into the vortex with an angry howl.

“So long Fido.” He said smiling victoriously.

There was a soft whimper and Danny suddenly remembered the girl. He flew towards her and now got a chance to study her. She appeared to be quite frightened and in pain as he noticed a particularly large gash on her leg, that was spilling crimson onto the concrete underneath them. That was odd. He had never encountered a ghost that had the ability to hurt a human without possessing it.
“Hey,” he said softly, trying to keep the girl calm as he spoke, “You’re going to be alright, you’re going to be just fine.” Her green eyes gazed at him, and they were so wide he felt that he could read the emotions in them like the pages of a book.

“Nah, I’m not one of the bad guys, not like that dog. I’m Danny Phantom. Amityville’s current superhero,” he said, holding pressure onto the wound. “What’s your name?”

She seemed to relax a bit, and spoke, “I-Its Clover. That thing…I was trying to get my book bag and it just came… It came out of the sewer and bit me!”

Her eyes grew frenzied and she struggled with him, causing more blood to gush out of the wound. Danny placed a reassuring hand on her shoulders and spoke gently, “Clover, listen to me. You’ve lost a lot of blood okay? I’m going to pick you up and fly you to Amityville Medical.”

When she didn’t respond Danny picked her up and began flying as fast as he could to the hospital. Once he got there he quickly phased through the double doors and then placed her on one of the stretchers by the door, knowing that someone would soon find her.

He cast her one last glance he turned from her and flew off into Amityville’s night sky, while disturbing thoughts clouded his mind.
